Actual numbers are from Either from 96SOHC or 330CubeGt


Drivers seat Leather 48 lbs
Passenger seat Leather 38lbs
Rear seat Leather top half 30lbs
Bottom Rear seat 15lbs
Sounds deadening (Remove w/Torch and Scraper) 45-50 Lbs
Under Carpet Insulation 20Lbs
Door Panels 8Lbs Each
Extra metal out of front bumper (Center) 8Lbs (Kept most of it)
Front Sway Bar w/links 13.5Lbs
20Lbs going to front coild over setup.
20 Lbs going to lighter front seats with manual sliders.

Took me a while to put it together, i had a few things to ad to it myself but majority of it is you!

What else are you removing? car should be 2200lbs by now, hahah

I took 7bs out of the decklid by gutting the inner structure andleaving the latch.

Actually it's heavier than it was last year. I went back to a full size battery, which added 17 pounds more on the nose of the car! Car now weighs 3065 without ballast, but with me in it and a quarter tank of gas.

O wow, So the car is probably in the 2750 range with out you in it guessing your 200-250lbs, (Seen you from a distance) lol

I thought you saying the car was in the 3,000 range was the way it sat with out you in it...

I have been removing weight from my car today, thanks to this list. Its very helpful. Is the spoiler just a 9 lb reduction in weight or even at my slow ass speed does it create some drag?

Just remember, 10 nine pound items still equals 90lbs.

Its like the old saying, How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. I'm ordering a new transmission and TQ on tuesday so I'm gonna try and get some weight off before they arrive. Hey if I lose 20 lbs that would help also. I think I will work on making a rear seat delete first and just think about losing the 20lbs.
