Spray a 100 shot, go one step colder on the plugs (Autolite or NGK) and you will be fine

Adam, with that low of compression, you should be good with a 50 shot and leaving timing alone, as long as it's got the fuel. By stock pump, what are you referring to? Is it an intake pump or a mechanical pump. If you mean mechanical pump, that's not good for nitrous. It heats the fuel up too much. 50 to check the electronics and such isn't a bad idea at all. Then put your big boy panties on and put in the big jets. But then, I am a nitrous junkie, so what do I know?

Wow, then I would make sure you mount a blue holley in the back and regulator up front before you spray even a 50 shot. When that solenoid opens, it will cause the f/p to fall so quickly as the line fills, that it will lean backfire, I bet. If not, it won't work very well.

Yeah I figured a pump upgrade and then a regulator to get it where NX recommends for starters. Nitrous kit still in the box..lol.

you probably won't notice a 50 shot... I started with a 75 shot an barely noticed that LOL... I am spraying 200 now (stock 5.0HO longblock converted to carb) but my kit goes up to 300 and is a wet kit, I went 2 steps colder on the plugs myself. I have a "blue" pump on the nitrous side and a black pump on the engine. Single plane high rise, holley 600, long tubes, HEI dist, Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind, Fuel pressure safety switch, etc... I have only sprayed 3-4 times but so far everything is holding together ok.

I used to have a "button" setup but it is pretty scary driving and then hitting a button and getting an instant 200hp+ addition! The Jacobs NMM is a much better setup and I like the ability to flow nitrous in proportion to rpm.

Anyone else have any fuel pump brand/unit they like?? Gonna be a 408 with a 200 shot capable.Carb with have regulator and NX will have one right before the NX fuel solenoid, am I on the right track here even? NX says it needs to be a minumum of a 110gph(note gallons per hr, not lph) .

Picked up a Holley Red on the cheap for the 357 NA but yes I am going to have to go bigger than that I see for the 408 and spray.
