Default Converting to COP?

I know the Mach 1 computers are suppose to be faster and better to use with the auto so I stared wondering what all is involved in switching to COP ignition. Is it as simple as changing the wiring harness and computer or is it a lot more complicated.

What year is your Mustang? I have most of the information to do the swap on a 96-98 car...as well as the parts. Just can't find the time to do it.

I wouldn't do it. Yes, the Mach has a faster processor, but not beneficial to perform the swap to a faster processor unless you're turning some serious RPM. At that point I'd still probably skip the COP when making the swap. There are several things that can be done long before swapping processors, anyway...

I absolutely agree. Money is better spent elsewhere until you run out of your current computer and that won't happen until you are past the rpm's that the auto will handle or accellerating so damn quick that you are on the verge of a 9 second car.

Well I am hoping when the blower set up is together it is on the verge of a 9 second car. Either that or I will burn it to the ground.

There is a plug n play harness for the cop conversion or make your own. Like everyone else said though no benefit in swapping the computer just a headache.
